The rise of sneaker culture has certainly altered what was once a “hobbyist” interest. And it certainly change the dynamics of geological trends as well. The market in Japan is no longer leading the charge. The U.S. is enjoying a resurgence of excitement once again. But the fervor is actually taking place in Europe, where countless sneaker-themed events have opened its doors in recent years. The newest is SneakerMuseum in Cologne, Germany, a gallery devoted to sneaker oriented exhibition. Doubt there would be a huge turnout to something so “formal”? The crowd to the inaugural exhibit, The Dunk: Celebrating Colors & Creativity, certainly proved that notion wrong as hundreds flooded the streets to see artworks in person.
