Red Wing Shoes – “The Big Boot” as The World’s Largest Boot | Video

In 2005, Red Wing Shoes celebrated its centennial anniversary by crafting a size 638 ½ D (US) boot which resides in their flagship Red Wing Shoe Store in Red Wing, Minnesota. Aside from being blown-up in scale, the World’s Largest Boot was built using the very same design and materials used to build a traditional Red Wing 877. Measuring 16 feet high and 20 feet long, the boot destroys the largest shoe previously made for someone by the American icon, a 22, by a mere 616.5 sizes. Ultimately, it took 1,200 feet of rope to sew it all together, 300 pounds of adhesive, and 80 cowhides to cover, but the boot serves as a testament to the craftsmanship and unmistakable quality of Red Wing footwear regardless of size. Lamborghini Aventador J | “Radically Open, Extremely Powerful”

Year after year, the Geneva Motor Show brings together some of the world’s most beautiful and powerful cars that car manufacturers have spent months or even years designing and refining specifically for this event. Then, here comes a very custom, very wild speedster version of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, the J, that totally steals the limelight. Strip away the roof, the windscreen, and all the modern accessories you expect in the cabin like climate control and navigation and fit in two small wind deflectors and you get what Lamborghini itself calls an “indescribable experience of power.” Lamborghini also switched out their typical interior fabric for a new carbon fiber fabric in an effort to save weight without a difference in comfort or style. The J, however, uses the same 700-horsepower, 6.5-liter V12 and exterior body features as its hardtop cousin that allows Lamborghini to confidently state that their open-air roadster can hit speeds as high as 186 miles per hour. Now, the bad news. The J isn’t for sale. The only model ever made or that will be made has already been sold to an unidentified buyer for 2.1 million Euros. A guy can still dream, right?

Joe Kopp x Latus Motors x Triumph Speed Triple – Pikes Peak World Record | Video

A 12.42 mile route, paved and unpaved, at a steep incline to the finish line at 14,110-feet summit, not forgetting the 156 corners of various degrees along the way, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is more than just a time trial. Rather, its an endurance race in short intervals for both man and machine. To push his limits a bit further, flat track racer Joe Kopp took up the challenge to set a new world record for motorcycles on Pikes Peak. Along with Latus Motors and a heavily modified Triumph Speed Triple, Kopp succeeded in his goal only to be “out speed” by fellow racer Carlin Dunne.

Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg

The largest model railway in the world, and one of the most successful permanent exhibitions in Northern Germany.



The construction began in the year 2000, and over the years, Miniatur Wunderland, located in Hamburg, Germany, has staked its claim as the largest model railway in the world. Watch as you take a ride across the seven sections: Harz, the fictitious city of Knuffingen, the Alps and Austria, Hamburg, America, Scandinavia, and Switzerland.

As the video attests, it took more than 500,000 working hours to create this massive miniature world. The most recent addition is the Knuffingen airport, located on 150 square meters, and boasting 40 airplanes that can taxi, take off, and land.

Miniatur Wunderland is constantly evolving: the final phase of the project is slated to be completed in 2020, by which time the model area will grow to nearly 25,000 square feet. No wonder Miniatur Wunderland is Hamburg’s most popular attraction.
