SneakerMuseum Germany – Grand Opening | Event Recap

The rise of sneaker culture has certainly altered what was once a “hobbyist” interest. And it certainly change the dynamics of geological trends as well. The market in Japan is no longer leading the charge. The U.S. is enjoying a resurgence of excitement once again. But the fervor is actually taking place in Europe, where countless sneaker-themed events have opened its doors in recent years. The newest is SneakerMuseum in Cologne, Germany, a gallery devoted to sneaker oriented exhibition. Doubt there would be a huge turnout to something so “formal”? The crowd to the inaugural exhibit, The Dunk: Celebrating Colors & Creativity, certainly proved that notion wrong as hundreds flooded the streets to see artworks in person. Hosted by Nike Skateboarding and managed by retailer TGWO, the exhibition will be ongoing till sometime next month. via Dunkbar
