adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor – Team GB

The summer Olympics have always been the proving grounds for some of the world’s top athletes and, almost as important, their equipment suppliers, where the history of innovation runs no deeper than in the footwear industry. Breakthroughs in styles, colorways, and structure have been showcased alongside the competitors hoping to also make a name for themselves on the global stage. Reintroduced alongside a Gazelle Indoor aimed at the 2012 Euro Cup, adidas Originals now turns it attention to the launch of their Team Great Britain themed sneaker, which gets a primarily blue suede colorway with Team GB branding kept to the inside of the tongue and footbed, and a gummy sole that reveals the tips of the white leather 3 Stripes. “Great Britain” and the Union Jack grace the heel of these German-born sneakers. Available now at select adidas Originals retailers around the globe, including size?

Louis Vuitton/Marc Jacobs Book | By Rizzoli

The story of the Louis Vuitton empire is perhaps one of the more classic tales of a well-crafted product that has withstood the test of time. However, the new book published by Rizzoli, Louis Vuitton/Marc Jacobs, takes a deeper look into the core elements which became the foundation to the brand’s longevity. The first half of the book chronicles the innovations by Vuitton and the latter half focuses on the role Jacobs had in catapulting the luxury brand into a new stratosphere. Behind the craftsmanship were geniuses who pushed the boundaries of the brand to where it is today. All good book stores should be stocking this book from April, and it will also be available through the Rizzoli online shop.

Nike LeBron 9 – Elite Collection

Regardless of what you think of LeBron James, there’s no denying the Miami Heat forward is having a career year in this strike-shortened season. LeBron is currently posting the highest single-season Player Efficiency Rating of all time, and his stellar defensive play has many arguing that he should win defensive player of the year accolades as well as the MVP crown. Of course, none of those individual accomplishments matter a whit if LeBron can’t continue his excellence into the postseason to secure his first NBA championship. Fair or not, anything short of that will be judged a resounding failure. Nike Basketball will help LeBron extend his regular season heroics into the playoffs by outfitting him in the LeBron 9 Elite. Like the upgraded Nike Zoom Hyperdunk and Kobe VII, the elite version of LeBron’s ninth signature features material enhancements and premium construction, highlighted by extra carbon fiber reinforcement from heel to wing, providing added lightweight support. Flywire technology and Nike Pro Combat-inspired padded collar and tongue, as well as special home and away colors in black or white with gold accents, complete the elite look. Look for the Nike LeBron 9 Elite to land in stores on April 28th.
