adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott JS Forum Hi

With designs like a winged “Rainbow Hologram” and a vivid blue polka-dot loafer, Jeremy Scott doesn’t go halfway when it comes to his collaborations with adidas Originals. Even though this latest from JS on the Forum Hi doesn’t pack the vibrant colors or over-the-top designs of his previous drops, this buckle-themed version of the famed adidas hi-top is still nothing short of a head-turner. Featuring a black leather upper atop a white rubber sole, this model packs four metal western-style buckles at the end of each strap, running from the ankle through the mid-foot in place of the usual laces. A matching metal toe cap was also added to the look, giving the Forum a cowboy boot feel. This JS Forum Hi Buckle is available now through The Good Will Out’s online store.

Bentley – Continental GT3 Race Car

Le Mans Racing fans have been licking their chops for over a year now to see Bentley’s return to the race under the GT3 category. Now, Bentley gives the masses what they want: a sneak peak at their Continential GT3 Race Car ahead of its unvieling at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, which is pretty much as mean as it can get. With a set of wide, curvy fenders, a redesigned aero front and rear end, and a massive Bentley-stamped rear spoiler, this luxury-ride-turned-track-terror is something to behold. According to Bentley, this is 95% of what we will see if this GT3 makes it to the starting line, but that last 5% is a big deal, due mainly to its oversized 6.0-liter W-12 engine that must be changed out to a V-8. Bentley is being tight-lipped on the specs, but just the fact that they’re considering a return to the endurance race they dominated in the 1930′s is more than enough to keep the hype alive.

Mercedes-Benz – SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive

Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive

This icy blue beast is Merecedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive, which made its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. At 740hp, this all-wheel-drive supercar is the first production-ready electric performance car to come from the German automaker and, coming in with an estimated $540,000, you’ll be paying for every ounce of technology and power infused in it. The SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive has four independent permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors, each weighing in at 45kg and are able to reach a maximum individual speed of 13,000rpm. The battery inside this vehicle is also impressive: a 400-volt liquid-cooled lithium-ion high-voltage battery with 864 lithium-ion cells in total. All that technical jargon boils down to a maximum torque of 1,000Nm and a zero to 60 time of 3.9 seconds. For that extra bit of intimidation, the driver can even select for the typical AMG sound to be pumped through 11 speakers located around the cabin to mimic the gas-powered model. Varoom, Varoom.

Rudiger Maerz – DSLR Customization

Getting tired of the black exterior of your DSLR? German camera customization company Rudiger Maerz may have the solution for you. The specialist company can take apart most DSLR cameras, customizing the exterior with similar techniques employed by automotive painters. Furthermore, Rudiger Maerz can actually modify the internals of your camera while it is in their workshop. They can exchange the lens mounts, or even take out the whole shutter system inside, to make it compatible with PL mount for connecting to cine lenses. The usual turnaround is roughly around minimum of four weeks, and it will set you back from $650 upwards, depending on the modification. Check out their handy work by scrolling down the page.

McLaren P1 Concept | Detailed Look

As cadre of journalists descend onto the City of Lights for this weekend’s Paris Motor Show, McLaren unveiled more images of its P1 Concept. A prototype by definition, though McLaren said it will arrive in showrooms within 12 months time after the presentation, the concept is still quite a handsome beast to behold. And it isn’t just because its predecessor was the McLaren F1, a car which redefined the meaning of “supercar”. Rather, it is the P1 organic curves as if it was “born” rather than “made”. Retractable rear wing, LED front and rear lights, all on a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque frame, no official words on the powerplant just yet but many speculate it to be an advanced version of the twin-tubrocharged V8 found on its MP4-12C counterpart. More information to come as Paris Motor Show opens its door this Saturday.
