McLaren P1 Concept | Detailed Look

As cadre of journalists descend onto the City of Lights for this weekend’s Paris Motor Show, McLaren unveiled more images of its P1 Concept. A prototype by definition, though McLaren said it will arrive in showrooms within 12 months time after the presentation, the concept is still quite a handsome beast to behold. And it isn’t just because its predecessor was the McLaren F1, a car which redefined the meaning of “supercar”. Rather, it is the P1 organic curves as if it was “born” rather than “made”. Retractable rear wing, LED front and rear lights, all on a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque frame, no official words on the powerplant just yet but many speculate it to be an advanced version of the twin-tubrocharged V8 found on its MP4-12C counterpart. More information to come as Paris Motor Show opens its door this Saturday.
