There is something inherently beautiful about ceramic sculptures, especially when the subject matter is influenced by a dark concept. The series of incense chambers by NEIGHBORHOOD takes influence from pottery items produced in Japan, when it was occupied by the US after World War II. Overly ornate details contrast the white ceramic object, with gold paint applied to the hammer, sights, and safety clip. Once an incense is inserted inside the chamber, it resembles a smoking barrel.
